COSA
The County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) 610-490-1300 plans, coordinates and administers, programs and services for the County's 60+ population. COSA offers comprehensive evaluations with support services to assist physically and/or mentally needy 60+ individuals. Assessments are conducted to determine the proper and necessary level of care. www.delcosa.org

Helping Hands - Referenced services for housekeeping, seasonal tasks and yard work.
Housing Information
Financial Management - Certified financial planners and counselor help older consumers clarify available financial resources in order to plan for large or unexpected expenditures, as well as help with budgeting.
Legal Assistance - Attorneys, paralegal and senior advocates provide legal research, and information and referral. Legal representation in civil matters is available to eligible elderly.
Public Information - Information services provided through the development and distribution of print and audio-visual materials. Speakers available on topics related to aging.

Adult Day Care - Socialization therapy, health monitoring for dementia or physical rehab seniors in a supervised and structural setting. Domiciliary Care - Subsidized living in private homes for individuals not able to live alone. Families wishing to share their homes are welcome to call the COSA office.

Ombudsman Program - Investigation and resolution of complaints made by recipients of Long Term Care Services residing in nursing, boarding, DOM Care or private home.
Personal Care - Assistance with home management and individual care allowing persons to remain in dependant in their own homes. Pre-Admission Assessment
Protective Services - 610-490-1300. 24-Hrs. Reports can be made anonymously. Confidentiality is assured in all cases. Investigates confidential reports of abuse, neglect, financial exploitation or abandonment of county residents aged 60+. Services are initiated to protect victims, stop abuse, and prevent future incidents.
Transportation - 610-490-3960. Provided for health care appointments, shopping, and visits to nursing homes.
Volunteer Opportunities - Available in a variety of settings for persons of all skill levels and ages.

DELCO SENIOR CENTERS
(CAADC) is the County's designated anti-poverty agency. CAADC offers assistance to families and individuals to promote economic self-sufficiency. www.caadc.org
Programs include: provision of professional case management services, food stamps - 610-891-3996, provision of social services, housing rehabilitation, renters assistance and more.
