Reiki, as it is known in the United States, is the concept of universal energy to assist in a person’s healing. The treatment is safe and non-invasive as it uses the practitioner, a conduit of healing energy, to transmit positive energy to revive and repair ones Human Energy System. This treatment originated in Japan, but has been gaining popularity in the U.S. since the new millennium.

The Reiki Healing Center in Media was founded by Master Teacher of Magnified Healing Myra Reichel in 2006. The center teaches people how to transmit universal healing energy for their own healing along with surrounding entities. Reiki Healing Center offers a haven for people with emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual disease to start their healing process.

The variety of people who use reiki is astounding. Patients range from those who deal with a stressful workplace to those who are suffering from chronic illnesses such as cancer. While insurance does not cover reiki treatment, the Reiki Healing Center offers discounts for those with financial hardships.

Reiki treatments and lessons are a series of 12-hour classes priced at $400 at the Media center. Reichel, who is also an advertiser for Delaware County Magazine, offers free information sessions by appointment on the second Saturday of each month.

“Reiki helped me so I want to help others with reiki,” Reichel said.
